Now is the time I have been waiting for since February – my first vacation. I am taking a week off to go to the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina. I used to have a plethora of time to spare on myself, but with the new job I was forced to give that up and only have one week of freedom.
This was a vacation that I actually planned back in July, but Misha got sick so we had to postpone it. I think the wait will be worth it. I booked a cabin with a hot tub and a view so I can relax in natural paradise.
I am looking forward to waterfalls, hikes in the woods, fresh air, beautiful views and being in the great outdoors, plus the fact that the high today was 65 degrees. Love it. The past few days, everything was just leading up to our departure. Trying to live in the moment now is a nice idea, but doesn’t seem to work as I think ahead to spending an evening resting in a warm hot tub as the chill soothes my face and seeing the sun set against the mountain range. I’ll share pictures when I get back.
